Lori Sanford-Ross is a native New Yorker and grew up in Flushing, Queens. She received an MFA from the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture in 2016. Lori is the recipient of an Individual Artists’ grant and a solo exhibition from Queens Council on the Arts for her project, Pockets of Serenity, the Hidden Landscapes of Queens. Exhibitions including the Blue Mountain Gallery, curated by John Yau, the Bowery Gallery, curated by Karen Wilkin, Vivid Space SD and the Plaxall Gallery. Her work was featured in the Netflix series The Characters: Kate Berlin.  Lori is also a writer and her play, QUEEN OF THE WORLD, A Play About Art, Feminism And Motherhood was performed at the Whitney Studio at the New York Studio School in 2018. She lives and works in Long Island City with her husband Sid Ross, an actor and writer, and their daughter Rachel.
